Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This policy explains how CloudInvites ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on cloudinvites.wedding and its subdomains. We keep it short because we keep our cookie use small.
Our approach
We set only the cookies we genuinely need to run the service. Nothing optional loads when you open a page — which is why there is no cookie banner here, and nothing to accept or decline.
Where a page can reach another company, we hold it back and ask at the moment you use it. A couple's wedding site may include a Spotify or YouTube player: we show a preview served from CloudInvites, and the real player is loaded from Spotify or Google only if you press play — with a note saying so before you do. Pressing play is how you agree to it, on your own device.
Address search and venue maps are handled on our servers, so your browser never contacts Google. Our analytics are first-party and cookieless, mask IP addresses, and honour "Do Not Track". We run no advertising or retargeting.
Categories we use
Strictly Necessary
Always activeRequired for CloudInvites to work at all — keeping couples signed in, guests authenticated to RSVP, forms secure, and payments processed. These never require consent and cannot be switched off.

-
Your name on a photo album
· CloudInvites (first-party)
If you type your name when sharing a photo to a couple's CloudAlbum, we remember it on your device so you don't have to retype it on every upload. Set only when you enter it, and only on that album's page.
Retention: Up to 12 months
-
Payments (PayMongo)
· PayMongo
Securely processes upgrades and prevents payment fraud, only during checkout.
Retention: Session
-
Security & delivery (Cloudflare)
· Cloudflare
Protects the infrastructure from malicious traffic and serves the site quickly.
Retention: Up to 12 months
Optional embeds
Only if you press playA couple can add a music or video player to their wedding site. We show a preview served from CloudInvites, and the real player is only loaded from Spotify or YouTube if a guest presses play — with a note saying so before they do. Nothing here loads on its own, so there is nothing to consent to in advance.
-
Music embeds (Spotify)
· Spotify
If a couple adds a playlist widget, the real Spotify player loads only when a guest presses play. The cover art is served from CloudInvites, so nothing reaches Spotify until then.
Retention: Set by Spotify
-
Video embeds (YouTube)
· Google (YouTube)
If a couple adds a video widget, the real YouTube player loads only when a guest presses play. The preview image is served from CloudInvites, so nothing reaches YouTube until then.
Retention: Set by Google
Analytics
CookielessHelps us understand which blog articles are useful. Our analytics are first-party and cookieless — an anonymised page-view count that masks your IP address, respects your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, and stores no cookie or identifier on your device. Disclosed here for full transparency.
-
Blog performance
· CloudInvites (first-party)
Counts anonymised article views and reading engagement to improve our guides. No cookie, no cross-site tracking, IP addresses masked, honors Do-Not-Track.
Retention: Aggregated
Marketing & Advertising
Not in useWe do not run any advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing trackers. This category is listed so that if we ever add one, it is a deliberate, disclosed change rather than a quiet one.
Managing your choices
Because nothing optional runs on its own, there is no preferences panel to set — the choice is simply whether you press play on an embedded player. If you never do, nothing is ever loaded from Spotify or Google.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop you signing in or RSVPing, as those are what keep you signed in and your forms secure.
